Own a racehorse for a year
The Shares
All shares are priced at £110 + VAT and a share in any 3 of the horses for £300 + VAT. This gives you part-ownership of the horse(s) for one full year.
With regard to our racing club, your part share entitles you (the shareholder) to an owners badge when your chosen horse runs. We are entitled to a number of free badges which we negotiate and are also allowed a large number of discounted badges (half price). We cannot guarantee a free badge every time your horse runs but a discounted badge will be available.
The badge entitles access to the parade ring where you meet your horse, trainer and jockey. It also enables entry to other facilities not available to other racegoers. If you are fortunate to be present when your horse wins you will attend the prizegiving and of course the champagne reception afterwards.
Children under 16 gain free admission with a parent or guardian and my son Paul enjoys being photographed with the jockey, we have a lovely snap of him with Frankie Dettori which he autographed. All the jockeys are very friendly and outgoing which adds to a wonderful day out for all the family.
Any winnings relating to your share will be paid within two months of its expiry date. Your share should be considered a hobby not an investment, it is not unknown for horses to prove us wrong but this is rare.
